GUESTLIST RECOMMENDS RHIANNON MAIR The Very Best of Britain. In a patriotic attempt to showcase the very best our little island has to offer in terms of talent and success, the organisers of the 2012 Olympic games have booked the one and only Blur to close the games on the 12th August. The closing ceremony, which kicks off in London on the 12th August will coincide with a ticketed concert being held in Hyde Park, the concert will see the likes of Blur and The Specials take to the stage. It goes without saying that Blur are incredibly honoured to be asked to perform at the closing ceremony of the Olympic games and earlier this year the group were awarded a Brit Award for their outstanding MUSE Devonshire super group are set to embark on huge european tour. contribution to music. Its a huge year for the country and the guys are said to be extremely honoured to be a part of it. Regardless of the occasion Blur are no strangers to sell out concerts in Hyde Park, they performed two in 2009. Due to complaints by Hyde Parks numerous residents, the music concerts held in Hyde Park next year will be cut from 13 to 9. How Boring. We wish Blur the very best of luck with their huge up and coming summer, i for one can't think of a band more fitting to showcase our countries talents and give the rest of the world a slice of what we're all about. Lead singer of the band 'Just Like Little People' Rhiannon Mair, is currently embarking on her solo career. 25 year old Rhiannons passion for singing and songwriting combined with the experience she's gained through releasing Just Like Little Peoples EP 'Feel Me', is key to the development of Rhiannons solo career. Just Like Little People are a west London based band, band circuit in and around London for the last couple of years. Their newly released they have been wowing the EP combines rock, dark indie and reggae. This eclectic mix of genres makes for an interesting and original sound. Due to the raw sound found on most of the bands track connect with their many fans on an emotional level. Rhiannons who is keen to commence with her solo career has been writing and playing since she was 16. She has been gigging since she was 20. As she's based in London and you can often find her performing in 1001 on Brick In the wake of their first full-length titled 'Baby', the boys from Camden in Tribes have been on the road non- stop. Summer 2012 even sees them playing shows not only in the UK but also as far as Los Angeles and Japan. We previously coined them as 'the little band that could' because it seems no task is too huge for this group of lads. Be sure to catch them at one of their upcoming shows.
