JESSE JONES WINS KING SHOCK ZONE AWARD
King Off-Road Racing
Shocks continued their
commitment to racers
using the company's racing
shock absorbers by their
continuation of the King
Shock Zone. The King Shock
Zone is a designated area
in which the fastest vehicle
through the zone, equipped
with King Off-Road Racing
Shocks and contingency
decals would receive a
choice of $4000 in cash
or $5,000 in credit towards
King Shock parts or service.
At the 49th SCORE Baja
1000 race, Jesse Jones in
the number 76 Trophy Truck
from Phoenix, Arizona, passed
through the King Shock Zone
with a time of 2:10:00 to win
the award. Coming in extremely
close in second place, was
Robby Gordon with a time of
2:10:12. For more information

BFGOODRICH TIRES PLANS
FOR MONUMENT WALL
In honor of the company's
40th anniversary with
SCORE International and the
development of the BFG Baja
TA product line, BFGoodrich
tires plans to build a monument
wall in Baja that features
commemorative plates,
containing the years and names
of the racers who won various
SCORE Competitions. In the
center of the wall is the outline
of Baja, Mexico, with the race
courses outlined. The wall is
still in its planning stages and
will include both the SCORE
and BFGoodrich Tires logos.
RIDER CORRECTIONS
In the October 2016 Issue of SCORE Journal, the story
on the 20th SCORE Rosarito Beach Desert Challenge
mistakenly listed the 400x team of Collie Potter to include
Dave Glass, Rick Pratt, Lendon Smith, Robert Lightfeldt and
Steve Herstad. The 400X team only included Collie Potter as
Driver Of Record, and co-rider Dave Glass for that race.
