Efficiency— without sacrificing quality—also increases your prof- its. One tool—vehicle templates—is a wrap shop's good friend when it comes to improving efficiency through all steps of the wrap process. The Quote Quoting the wrap is of course the first step in the process. It involves asking a lot of questions about coverage, goals for the advertising and if they have a budget. Sometimes the best way to get through the quoting efficiently is to have some information at your fingertips. There are numerous vehicle template packages on the market. One that we've used for years is Art Station Vehicle Templates. A companion product they also offer is the Wrap Dimensions Guide. This guide offers pre-figured square footage on commonly wrapped vehicles. By pulling up the template for your customer's vehicle you're able to see square footage for all parts of the vehicle. Windows are figured separately, which gives you options on perforated view thru coverage. T he vehicle wrap process can be very time con- suming—from your time at the front counter dis- cussing coverage and other options, working through the design, scaling the artwork and assessing the vehi- cle. This is all in addition to the actual production of the graphics and installation.
