MISSED SHOTS LEAVE PUCK
MARKS. Broken sticks (thanks to a
not-so-cool defenseman or goaltender)
can leave scratches. And constant use can
naturally cause wear. While any of these
"issues" can be referring to nearly any
piece of equipment at your facility, this
time we mean the goal frames.
With all of that wear they, like
everything else at the arena, require some
upkeep. Use these simple steps to getting
your frames back to looking nearly new.
1. STRIPPING THE FRAME
, The first step to bringing your old goal
frame back to life is by removing the old
netting and pads. The best method to do
that is by using a pair of six-inch wire-
cutting pliers. Simply go around the frame
and cut away the net-tying string to free
off the netting and pads. An added bonus:
Instead of tossing the netting, look to your
community. Local kids and parents are
always willing to take the used netting off
your hands, no matter the condition.
