Helping Dealers Reach Millennials W h i l e p r ov i d i n g s p e c i a l s h ow pricing and educational seminars for dealers is an important part of what NTP-STAG does for dealers, the dis- tributor is looking at additional ways it can assist retailers. During NTP-STAG's dealer lun- cheon on Jan. 30, Rogers outlined plans by the distributor to help dealers better connect with Millennial shoppers, who are expected to become 50 percent of the buying public by 2020. "Millennials' expectations are dif- ferent than past generations. They want online information and tools, but they also want a physical location. So, dealers need to engage with them on all aspects," he told RV PRO in a subsequent interview. Rogers said the exact details on how NTP-STAG can best help dealers reach out to Millennials is still being formu- lated, but that it could include things like giving them online videos and content that they could post to their websites. "Where they need help, we can help with content and with development. If they're all set, all the better. It's whatever they need," he said. "We're here to help them fill in the blanks so that no one is left behind. "It all boils down to: If the indepen- dent dealers are not successful, we're not successful. So, we want to help with those tools to get customers to their physical location." Already Planning for 2018 Show Even as NTP-STAG was winding down its 2017 show, the distributor was already making plans for its 2018 event, set for Jan. 22-23 at the Gaylord Texan hotel outside of Dallas-Fort Worth. Rogers said NTP-STAG's parent com- pany, Keystone Automotive, has hosted several events at the hotel in the past to great success. "It's a terrific resort location offering everything under one roof, literally, and it's just minutes away from the DFW Air- port, so it's convenient," he said. "Plus, we have a distribution center there with 130-seat training center that I expect we might incorporate that into the training program or offer tours of. "I think dealers should look for us to build upon our success and give them another great show in 2018." 44 • RV PRO • March 2017 rv-pro.com Show Coverage The NTP-STAG show offered opportunities for dealers to socialize and relax.
