Ask anyone from any generation to name three rappers they know, and the name of Snoop Doggy Dogg is almost certain to be one of the first to come up. Many of us millennials grew up to the unmistakably super smooth sound of Snoop's voice and stylish delivery of his raps, forever backed by some of Dr. Dre and Warren G's most popular 'G Funk' beats. His 1993 LP Doggystyle became an instant classic with a multitude of hit singles including 'Gin & Juice', 'Who Am I (What's My Name?)' and of course 'Gz & Hustlas'. It is these tracks, along with the Pharrell Williams produced track 'Drop It Like It's Hot' that the 'Big Bow Wow' is most commonly known for. Having briefly become Snoop Lion following a Rasta revelation a few years ago, Snoop Dogg is now back, with Neva Left, being a firm indicator that he is coming back to his dazzling best. With features from East Coast stalwarts such as KRS-One, Method Man & Red- man, along with tracks that pay hom- age to Wu-Tang & A Tribe Called Quest classics, there is so much goodness to take in.
