By day, there's plenty to explore and by night, the entertainment is never short of excellent. Once you're out in the evening, you're out for the rest of the night. It's also home to one of the best football clubs in the world; Barcelona Football Club, which is an attraction in itself. NIGHTLIFE Barcelona has a rich history and a vast amount of museums. The Barcelona Contemporary Culture Centre (CCCB) exhibits dance, music, urbanism, de- bates and readings. A display of sculpture, painting, engraving, photography, and much more rich art can be explored at the Catalan National Art Museum (MNAC). For all chocolate lovers, visit the Chocolate Museum. There are many more museums to indulge and cap- tivate your mind in this great, historic Spanish city. SANT JOAN FESTIVAL This is an unmissable event that celebrate the beginning of the summer in Barcelona. The city skies come alive with fireworks and the city is buzzing with parties and celebrations. Each year, the city hosts the biggest beach party with live music and DJs, this year we even hosted our own party out there with DJ Fabio representing some heavy drum and bass..keep your eyes peeled for next year. This island based resort caters for your every 'what happens on holiday... stays on holiday" need, and has a wide range of clubs with great entertainment you're going to wish you could remember. David Guetta, the Freemasons and Tim Westwood are just a few of the DJs who have performed in the holiday resort, and the Mallorca rocks hotel has enjoyed guest spots from the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah. There are many bars around Barcelona which will have cheap drinks and live music on certain nights, but for a real Spanish experience, visit the Antilla BCN Latin. When the sun comes down, there are live salsa shows, DJs playing rumba and you get to indulge in with the local's, so be prepared to party the Barcelona way! No one parties like the Latino's do! Barceloneta is the closest beach to the city. The easiest way is to catch a yellow line metro; otherwise it's a 20 minute walk. Mar Bella Beach is definitely one for those who love their water sports. All beaches have fantastic beach- side bars and restaurant and are kitted out with disabilities, sun beds and lifeguards.
