As I mentioned at our Annual General Meeting on February 15th, it has been a goal of mine for several years to become president of SITE Canada. To be entrusted with the legacy and future of our incredible chapter is an honour and I am excited and inspired to wo rk with our Board of Directors and our members to build on the success of the past. There is much to celebrate this year: our Chapter of the Year win at the global conference in Panama in November, SITE Canada's 30th anniversary and Canada's 150th birthday are just a few of the highlights. We have a great line up of events this year to celebrate and recognize all of these milestones, the dates of which are listed in this newsletter. We have added two new events this year: our first educational conference in Vancouver on May 24th and our Celebrate SITE Canada social event on July 19th. We are looking forward to seeing you all at each event this year. While it is important to recognize our achievements, it is also important to continue to strive for excellence .
