Where to stay? There's no hostel more central than Abigails, round the corner from the Temple Bar (think Camden style). It's got a lounge for a great chat after a night out. Where to visit? At the Guinness Storehouse not only do you get a slice of history at one of the best known breweries, but you get a few samples thrown in. And just a mile away is the National Leprechaun Museum (nope, I'm not kidding), filled with tales on Irish folklore. So get stuck in for a really fun time, if a little barmy. Where to eat and drink? For a step away from the city's Irish roots, Neon's tasty Asian street food is for you, but if you want traditional, head over to Boxty House for everything from colcannon to a warming lamb stew. Meanwhile Southwilliam's 'martini menu' offers a fancier bevvy along with sofas and funky lights, making it a great spot to start your big night out. Where to party? The Button Factory is a top choice, with DJ sets, live bands and reasonably priced drinks. Or let the Gaelic traditions get deep into your soul with some traditional music. So try out Gogarty's upper room to dance with the locals until the early morning! GUESTLIST 2017 / ISSUE 97 19 TRAVEL You've just arrived for your weekend in Dublin, now what?
