10 April 2017 Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com THE ART OF DESIGN This home is located in Scottsdale, Ariz., and the homeowners' main goal on this project was to highlight, accent, and draw attention to the front door of the home. This project used Brilliance LED lamps including MR-16s, AR-11s, wafers, and Micro G4s — all in 2700 kelvin temperature with FX Fixtures. The install took 10 days, and cost $20,000 for the all-inclusive project, both front and back. Brilliance LED's tip is regarding the stacked rock to either side of the door and the texture that was achieved. Pay close attention to the distance from the surface that the up light is installed. If the fi xture is too close, the light will not reach the top; however, if it is too far, there will be no shadows to create texture. You will also notice the depth created on the right side of the home through shadow projection. This barn is used for a variety of events, including weddings that utilize the nighttime atmosphere that this lighting job provides. The project utilized Brilliance LED MR-16s in all the up lighting, as well as Brilliance LED strip light under all the soffi t around the barn. We highly recommend utilizing strip light, not only because of its unmatched beauty and effect, but also for its ease of install. This is a Texas Outdoor Lighting original project. The goal at this expansive property located in Pacifi c Palisades, Calif., was to bring out the estate's beautiful features while making good use of its vast open space with a design that would create an even balance and cohesion. A total of 520 CAST Lighting MR16 bullet and tree light fi xtures were installed throughout the property — all using Brilliance LED MR16 LED lamps 4 and 5 watt with various beam spreads. A combination of up and down light was used with up lighting outlining the perimeter of the property and down lighting creating shadow effects and lawn illumination. This project was designed and installed by Imagine Lighting. THE ART OF DESIGN is a photo-essay that provides insight into landscape design/build projects, and the materials and products used to create these stunning visual masterpieces. In this edition of THE ART OF DESIGN we look at some amazing landscape lighting installations, created with products from Brilliance LED. ADVERTORIAL
