It's a great thing that I was able to con- tribute to this program so much, but while I was playing through the years I was never focused on that. It was always wanting to win and wanting to win championships." BASEBALL (29-7 OVERALL, 6-3 BIG TEN) Michigan was ranked No. 15 in the April 17 USA Today coaches' poll … Junior pitcher Oliver Jaskie struck out a career- best 12 batters against Penn State March 31 and was named Collegiate Baseball's National Player of the Week April 3 … Junior catcher/third baseman Drew Lug- bauer earned Big Ten Player of the Week and Perfect Game/Rawlings National Player of the Week honors April 3-4, after hitting .632 with three home runs and 13 RBI in five U-M wins … U-M swept a three-game set from Penn State March 31-April 2 and took two of three versus Illinois April 7-9 … The Wolverines also swept No. 18 Oklahoma in a three-game series April 13-15 while outscoring the Sooners 25-8 … U-M has upcoming con- ference series against Indiana, Rutgers and Ohio State. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (28-9 OVERALL, 11-5 BIG TEN) The Wolverines received 36 votes in the final USA Today coaches' poll of the season, but were not ranked … Junior guard Katelynn Flaherty earned WCBA honorable mention All-America honors and was named team MVP for a second straight season … She finished with 746 points scored, second in U-M history only to her sophomore campaign (774), and with 109 three-pointers, just one shy of the single-season record held by Kate Thompson (2009-13). MEN'S GOLF Junior Kyle Mueller carded a personal- best three-round score of 138 to win the rain-shortened Aggie Invitational April 1-2 in Bryan, Texas … Mueller's perfor- mance helped Michigan to a ninth-place finish at the event with a team score of 594 … The Wolverines tied for 11th with a three-round score of 908 at the Boil- ermaker Invitational April 15-16 in West Lafayette, Ind. … Senior Bryce Evon tied his career best with a 68 in the final round, while senior Reed Hrynewich was U-M's top finisher after shooting a 222 to tie for 26th … Michigan will compete at the Big Ten Championships April 28-30 in Balti- more. WOMEN'S GOLF The Wolverines finished eighth out of 18 teams with a score of 885 at the Bryan National Collegiate April 1-2 in Greens- boro, N.C. … Senior Grace Choi was U-M's highest finisher, tying for ninth with a 213 … Both Choi and sophomore Elodie Van Dievoet carded a 70 in the final round … Michigan concluded the regular sea- son at the Lady Buckeye Invitational April 15-16 in Columbus, Ohio, finishing sixth out of 12 teams with a team score of 911 … Van Dievoet was the team's top fin- isher with a score of 224 and a 12th-place showing … U-M will compete in the Big Ten Championships April 21-23 in Main- ville, Ohio. MEN'S GYMNASTICS (7-13 OVERALL, 3-5 BIG TEN) Michigan was ranked No. 9 in the April 10 College Gymnastics Association coaches' poll … The Wolverines came in seventh out of seven teams with a team score of 401.250 at the Big Ten Team Championships April 7 in Champaign, Ill. … Sophomore Emyre Cole earned first- team all-league honors at the Big Ten Event Finals April 8, posting three top-10 performances … Cole took fifth in the parallel bars, sixth on the vault and ninth in the floor exercise … The NCAA Cham- pionships were slated for April 21-22 at West Point, N.Y. WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS (27-7 OVERALL, 8-1 BIG TEN) The Wolverines were listed No. 7 in the March 20 National Association of Colle- giate Gymnastics Association rankings … Michigan captured the program's fourth straight Big Ten championship, posting a team score of 197.400 March 18 in Pis- cataway, N.J. … U-M went on to notch its 12th NCAA Regional title, recording a team score of 197.350 to place first out of six teams April 1 in Morgantown, W.Va. … Senior Nicole Artz, junior Brianna Brown and sophomore Olivia Karas all earned second-team All-America honors at the Junior pitcher Oliver Jaskie leads the No. 15 Wolverines with 50 innings pitched and 65 strikeouts through 36 games.
