For 2017 year-to-date, Yamaha has almost doubled that, receiv- ing 19.1 percent of that interest. Can-Am retained the No. 3 spot on the list by a nar- row margin of 0.02 percent. Kawasaki, Suzuki and Arctic Cat ceded the percentage points that made possible Yamaha's gains. All three manufacturers dropped in share of interest in 1-year-old ATVs compared to last year. For the second year in a row, Yamaha was the leader in hits-per-model. Yamaha received 28 percent more hits-per-model than did Polaris at No. 2. Polaris, with a drastically higher share of the total number of KBB.com hits, also had twice as many model-year 2016 ATVs than Yamaha. CFMOTO, with only four model year 2016 ATVs, bested both Suzuki and Arctic Cat in hits- per-model, taking the No. 6 spot on the list. TOP 10 MOST RESEARCHED ATVS The 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 took the No. 1 spot on this list, topping the No. 2 2005 Honda TRX450R, which had held the top spot on KBB.com during 2015 and 2016. The Polaris Sportsman 570 took three spots on this list with its 2014, 2015 and 2016 versions. The top 10 ATVs on KBB.com year-to- date consist of four sport ATVs and six utility ATVs. These numbers were reversed in 2015 and 2016. Five Polaris ATVs appear on this list. This is up from one year ago, when only three Polaris ATVs were in the top 10. TOP 10 MOST RESEARCHED MODEL YEAR 2016 ATVS Last year, the top 10 most-researched 1-year- old ATVs gained between 16 and 78 percent in KBB.com hits for the first weeks of 2016 compared to the last weeks of 2015. For the first weeks of 2017, the top 10 1-year-old ATVs gained between 26 and 119 percent during comparable months. Polaris has always held the largest number of spots on this list, and this year is no excep- tion. Yamaha, however, which did not appear on this list at all one year ago, took four spots on the list for 2017. Three of the top 10 most-researched model year 2016 ATVs are new introductions for the 2016 model year. PSB Lisa Pelissier is a senior powersports analyst at Kelley Blue Book.
