HARLEY-DAVIDSON DEALER MEETING SET Harley-Davidson will hold its 2017 Dealer Meeting from Aug. 21-25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center's South Hall. V-TWIN EXPO AUCTION BID DEADLINE IS MAY 15 V-Twin Expo, the annual gathering of the V-twin industry in Cincinnati, is among the assets being put up for auction by Paisano Publications, LLC. The company announced that the deadline for bid submissions is May 15, 2017. Easyriders magazine is also part of the pack- age, along with Easyriders Events, Road Iron, In the Wind, Wrench and Tattoo magazines. Owner and publisher Joe Teresi, 76, announced in March that he's retiring after 46 years at the helm of the company. More information can be found at PaisanoAuction.com. BALDWIN JOINS KENDA TIRES Kenda Tires announced that it has hired a 17-year industry veteran, with experience working for Polaris, Cannonade, Tucker Rocky and QuadBoss, as its new director of powersports. Jason Baldwin will lead Kenda Tires' powersports division. While at QuadBoss, Baldwin developed a full line of ATV/UTV tires that have been well received in the pow- ersports market. Baldwin is looking forward to joining the team and contributing to Kenda's traction in the powersports market. Baldwin is an avid bicycle and powersports rider, even having a bicycle mount on the back of his motorcycle. He will be relocating with his family from Texas to the Kenda USA headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Jimmy Yang, president of American Kenda Rubber, said: "We are very excited to welcome Baldwin into the Kenda family. His enthusiasm and passion for all things powers- ports can't be beat." QUADBOSS ADDS JUSTIN LASATER TO ITS TEAM QuadBoss announced the addition of a brand specialist with more than 20 years of experi- ence in the powersports industry ranging from service manager to parts and accessories man- ager. Justin Lasater will serve as a brand special- ist, effective immediately. "With the double- digit growth QuadBoss has experienced in the last few years, we real- ized that it was time to bring on another employee to continue driving the brand for- ward," said Sheila Bradbury, brand specialist for QuadBoss. "We are very happy to have Jus- tin on the team." Lasater comes to QuadBoss from Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, where he played an integral part in developing and sourcing new products for its ATV and UTV lines. He will be doing the same for Quad- Boss in his role as brand specialist, focused on continued brand growth. BRP ADDS RETAIL FINANCING PARTNERS BRP is expanding its U.S. retail financing options by signing long-term agreements with Citi Retail Services and Roadrunner Finan- cial, in addition to its existing agreement with Sheffield Financial. "Together, Citi, Roadrunner and Shef- field deliver complimentary retail financ- ing services, giving consumers even more options when purchasing BRP products," said Bernard Guy, regional vice-presi- dent, Sales, North America. "We believe that these agreements improve the value proposition we offer our North American dealers and further support both dealer and BRP growth." Citi will provide consumers with revolv- ing credit programs through BRP dealers to finance the purchase of BRP's recreational vehi- cles and other related products and services. Roadrunner, for its part, will provide near and subprime financing, while Sheffield continues to offer installment loans. EX-POLARIS DIRECTOR JOINS DESIGN FIRM Minneapolis-based Miller Design Group, a specialist in in-store retail design and fixtures, has added a new partner, Paige Wittman, as the 22-year-old firm is now named the Miller Wittman Retail Design Group. "Wittman brings 25 years of executive level sales, marketing and channel develop- ment experience to us," said Barb Miller, founder of Miller Retail Design. "She has dedicated her career to developing powerful distribution channels and retail programs for leading brands." Most recently, Wittman held executive positions at the Andersen Corporation, including vice president of Sales Operations and vice president of Sales. Before joining Andersen in 2007, Paige spent nine years at Polaris Industries, where her last role was director of Retail & Dealer Development. She also held domestic and international sales management & marketing roles at Polaris, as well as The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. DEALER RAISES FUNDS FOR OFFICER'S MODIFIED TRIKE High Desert Harley-Davidson, of Meridian, Idaho, launched a GoFundMe page to raise money to purchase a new Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra and modify the trike for Boise police officer Kevin Holtry, who was para- lyzed in the line of duty last year. The dealership has a goal of $65,000 and hopes to give the modified motorcycle to Hol- try by June 17, the same day they will host a benefit ride for him.
