'Challenge' Morning
At Ross-Ade
A spectacular sunrise at Ross-Ade Stadium
opened the morning of April 8, about an
hour before the The Challenge 5K run-walk.
The 5K race raised almost $110,000 and had
nearly 1,850 participants, both totals at
or near record levels. The inset photos are
Dr. Adam Meyers and sophomore receiver
Terrance Landers executing the dance war-
mup; honorary chair Coach Jeff Brohm hitting
Purdue's "World's Largest Drum" to start the
10th-annual race; and the throng of runners
and walkers at the starting line. In a decade,
nearly $750,000 has been raised for research
at Purdue's Center for Cancer Research.
