The six-storey, 60,000-sqm building offers 26 meeting rooms, including a banquet hall that can accommodate 480 delegates. Taipei Expo Park Built for the 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, Taipei Expo Park is one of Taipei's newest event venues. With 6,030sqm of naturally lit exhibition space, the facility's main venue, the Expo Dome, can hold up to 20,000 people. The most interesting feature is the EcoARK pavilion: touted as the world's first PET Bottle Green Building, it sets the standards for the future of green buildings with its environmentally-friendly and chic design (it's largely built out of recycled plastic bottles) and sustainable spaces including an amphitheatre and exhibition hall. Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center TWTC Nangang, or TaipeiEx, built in 2008, offers 45,360sqm of space. The upper level features a green- certified Sky Dome, a column- free showground that can hold 18,000 people, and is suitable for international trade shows, concerts and incentive trade events. Its eight conference rooms span across two floors, the largest of which accommodates 504 delegates. The facility also offers a buffet restaurant, a Chinese restaurant and a banquet hall that can seat 280, 150 and 450 respectively. 868sqm Grand Ballroom. Planners are assisted by a dedicated meeting butler and audiovisual specialist, and can select from comprehensive meeting packages with interesting coffee breaks like live cooking stations and interactive demonstrations, and exquisite Chinese or Western lunches from Latest Recipe and My Humble House. In between meetings, attendees can power up on Power Plate fitness machines placed in common meeting spaces. In the evening, they can retreat to spacious rooms with floor- to-ceiling views of Taipei 101, Taipei International Exhibition hall and TungHwa Night Market. Business travellers will appreciate the comprehensive amenities available at the 668-room Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel including the Sheraton Taipei Club comprising a fitness centre, sauna and squash court, the business centre on B1 and the Sheraton Club Lounge for executive floor guests. Constantly on the quest for excellence, the hotel's Grand Ballroom will be undergoing renovation from June 6 before showcasing a new look this September 30 with contemporary Chinese motifs and stunning light effects created by the hand-made Preciosa glass chandeliers that fill the 2,500sqm of multi-functional space.
