With the recent completion of Phase II, additional facilities now include three new event halls, direct access to the BTS skytrain, a retail and dining zone, and the new BHIRAJ Convention Centre at BITEC which has added three convention halls, 12 new meeting rooms, and supporting venues to the centre. The driving force behind the BITEC expansion was anticipating the growing demand of the MICE industry and changing needs of clients. "BITEC's expansion will ensure that organisers, exhibitors and visitors will have everything they need for a complete day, whether for work or leisure," said Panittha Buri, managing director of BITEC. "This will certainly help us to develop our position as one of the most comprehensive and competitive MICE venues in the region." The new halls at the BHIRAJ Convention Centre offer over 3,500sqm in total which can cater up to 3,600 delegates. Supporting facilities include a contemporary business centre, a VIP room, an AV room, an organiser's office, and dedicated registration counters in front of each hall. The 12 contemporary meeting rooms are well- equipped and are perfect for small- to mid-sized events for between 30 and 170 delegates.
