WOMEN'S GOLF Sophomore Elodie Van Dievoet was named first-team All-Big Ten April 25 … The honor comes after Van Dievoet finished the Big Ten Tournament in first place with a three-round score of 210, an individual career-best score and the program's new conference tournament record … It was also her first career title … The first-place showing marks the program's first Big Ten champion, and two others finished among the top 25 individually … As a team, Michigan fin- ished fifth with a score of 892 … The Wol- verines earned a team selection to the NCAA Regional for the second year in a row … The team will be the No. 9 seed at the Columbus (Ohio) Regional May 8-10 … The NCAA Championships will take place May 19-24 in Sugar Grove, Ill. MEN'S GYMNASTICS (8-17 OVERALL, 3-5 BIG TEN) Michigan was ranked No. 9 in the final College Gymnastics Association Weekly Coaches Poll, which was re- leased April 10 … Michigan sent seven athletes to the NCAA Championships April 22, following the team's perfor- mance at the NCAA Championships qualifying session April 18 … At the qualifiers, sophomore Uche Eke had ca- reer bests in the parallel bars and on the high bar, with scores of 14.20 and 13.60, respectively … In the NCAA Champion- ships, sophomore Anthony McCallum defended his NCAA vault title from last season, coming in first with a score of 15.10 … McCallum is the first back-to- back champion on the vault in Michi- gan history … The performance earned McCallum All-American honors … Sophomore Emyre Cole joined McCal- lum on the podium for vault, earning All-American honors with a third-place finish and a score of 14.90 … McCal- lum's title is individual title No. 31 in program history … In addition to the pair of sophomore All-Americans, the Wolverines will boast the nation's No. 1 recruiting class in next year's lineup. MEN'S LACROSSE (8-6 OVERALL, 0-5 BIG TEN) Michigan fell 19-9 to No. 8 Johns Hop- kins April 22 … The loss eliminated the Wolverines from possibly qualifying for the Big Ten Tournament … U-M then lost 17-13 to Penn State at home in the final game of the season April 30 … Se- nior Mikie Schlosser led U-M with four goals and sophomore Brent Nosewor- thy contributed three … The athletic department announced that it would be moving on from coach John Paul May 2 … Paul oversaw the program in its transition from a club team to a varsity team, and he led the varsity pro- gram for six years … Michigan posted a varsity record of 23-61 in the six years under Paul. WOMEN'S LACROSSE (5-12 OVERALL, 1-5 BIG TEN) Senior Kim Coughlan was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week April 18 … Sophomore goalie Mira Shane set a career high for saves in a game with 13 against Penn State April 30 … The Wolverines lost to the Nittany Lions 17-10 … Michigan hon- ored its first senior class during the game … The Wolverines did not qualify for postseason play … It was announced May 2 that coach Jennifer Ulehla would not have her contract renewed … Ulehla was the first coach in program history and was 20-49 at the helm. ROWING Michigan was ranked No. 4 in the April 25 Collegiate Rowing Coaches As- sociation/US Rowing Coaches Poll … The Wolverines swept all six races in a regatta against Louisville April 30, win- ning all six races by more than 10 sec- onds … The Wolverines honored 12 se- niors following the event … The Big Ten Championships will be held May 13-14 in Indianapolis … The NCAA Champi- onships will take place May 26-28 in West Windsor, N.J. … It begins with the heats May 26, followed by the semifi- nals May 27 and finals May 28. SOFTBALL (41-10-1 OVERALL, 20-3 BIG TEN) After starting the year 14-7-1, U-M won 27 of its final 30 games and closed the regular season on a nine-game winning streak … The Wolverines were ranked No. 19 nationally in the May 2 USA To- day/National Fastpitch Coaches Associa- tion Poll … Michigan was second in the Big Ten standings at the end of the regu- lar season, trailing only No. 4 Minnesota (22-1) … U-M won two of three against Wisconsin April 21-23, allowing just three runs in those games … Michigan then won three straight against Indiana April 28-29 to finish the regular season undefeated at home … U-M closed the regular season with a sweep at Rutgers May 6-7 … The regular-season finale shutout win over Rutgers gave senior Megan Betsa her 100th career victory, making her just the fourth in program history to reach the milestone … On the year, Betsa was 23-7 with five saves and a 1.18 ERA; she also has posted 370 strikeouts in 207 innings pitched … Over the last 11 games through May 7, the Wolverine had allowed just 10 runs … The Wolverines are the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, which will be held in Ann Arbor May 11-13 … The NCAA Tournament begins with the Regionals May 19-21, followed by the Super Regionals May 25-28 and the Women's College World Series June 1-7 in Oklahoma City. MEN'S TENNIS (22-6 OVERALL, 10-2 BIG TEN) In the April 25 Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, the Wolverines were listed No. 16 nationally … Michi- gan was on the road for its final two matches of the regular season, and came away with wins over Iowa (5-2) and Nebraska (7-0) … In the Big Ten Tournament April 28-30, the Wolverines defeated Penn State (4-0) and No. 25 Il- linois (4-2), before falling to No. 2 Ohio State (4-0) in the championship match Sophomore Anthony McCallum won his sec- ond straight NCAA vault title in 2017, help- ing U-M finish ninth nationally.
