SCORE SAFETY CONFERENCE AND 50TH BAJA 1000 BEACH PARTY SCORE, along with safety partner Stand 21 Safety Foundation, has announced that a “Safety Conference and 50th Baja Beach Party” will be held on Saturday, July 30th, 2017, for SCORE Members. “The running of the 50th SCORE Baja 1000 this year is a huge event in motorsports for all of us, and for the world-wide audience it will attract,” said Roger Norman SCORE CEO and President. “With all of this attention, we want it to be both as exciting and safe as it can be. Combining those two elements, we are planning this event to get our racers together in summer, as momentum builds. I want to remind everyone of the fun element in our biggest event, while working to keep drivers, crews, spectators, and families safer” Holding the SCORE Safety Conference at a San Diego area beach house will provide a casual, cooler setting, away from the mid-summer, desert heat.  “I look forward to updating everyone on the variety of activities we have planned leading up to the 50th Anniversary race, and how they and their sponsors can benefit,” said Norman. The safety program will bring in motorsports safety experts like Dr. Steve Olvey, medical advisor to the IndyCar series, to talk about timely subjects like brain concussions, and what to do if such an injury is suspected.  “Safety in the event for drivers, crew, officials, and spectators is always paramount, but even more critical as our sport will have the world looking on as never before,” said Norman. More details will be announced as they are finalized.  SCANLON MOTORSPORTS GROUP UNVEILS A NEW FACTORY RIGID / ROCKSTAR POLARIS RZR OFF-ROAD RACING PROGRAM Polaris’ Chief Marketing & Retail Officer, Craig Scanlon recently unveiled a new racing program under the Scanlon Motorsports Group (SMG).
