Each new model features a variety of standard features designed to improve productivity and performance. The new machines feature a zero tail swing, short-radius or conventional design; adjustable boom offset for improved maneuverability in congested areas; and an auto-shift travel system for operator convenience. An auxiliary hydraulic system with standard proportional controls, shut-off valve and easy-to-select joystick control patterns offer increased productivity, and a spacious and comfortable operator environment with excellent visibility, ergonomic controls, adjustable seating and line-of-sight digital displays minimizes operator fatigue. HYUNDAI CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AMERICAS R30Z-9AK COMPACT EXCAVATOR Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduced a seventh model in its 9A series of Tier 4 Final-compliant compact excavators. The new R30Z-9AK is a three-ton-class model that features a zero tail swing design for optimum maneuverability in confined work spaces. The Hyundai R30Z-9AK excavator is powered by a Kubota engine delivering 23.2 hp. Its maximum digging depth is 8 feet 2 inches, and its maximum digging reach is 15 feet 3 inches. Bucket breakout force is 4,520 lbf. Configured with a canopy, the R30Z- 9AK has an operating weight of 6,380 pounds. When specified with an optional cab, the machine's operating weight is 6,625 pounds. Standard bucket capacity is .10 cubic yards. Each model in the 9A series includes boom swing capability, enabling the operator to offset the boom 75 degrees to the left and 50 degrees to the right. The cabs on the Hyundai 9A series machines are all TOPS, ROPS and FOPS certified. JCB 3CX COMPACT BACKHOE JCB's 3CX Compact backhoe is designed to deliver exceptional versatility and performance. Its 6-foot-wide x 9-foot-high footprint makes it 35 percent smaller than JCB's standard 3CX backhoe model. The 3CX Compact combines the digging power and ease-of-use of a compact excavator with the capabilities of a compact wheel loader. Compatibility with backhoe loader, compact excavator and skid-steer loader attachments gives the machine optimum versatility. A three-speed hydrostatic transmission allows 3CX Compact operators to switch between low and high range for ease of use, greater pushing power, and a 25-mph maximum travel speed. Powered by a 74-hp. NEXT GENERATION BOBCAT EXCAVATORS Bobcat Company enhanced its compact excavators with the all-new, next generation R-Series excavators, which boost operator productivity and comfort, as well as machine uptime protection. The first R-Series excavators to launch will include the Bobcat E32 and E35 in the popular 3- to 4-ton size class. Additional R-Series excavators from Bobcat will be introduced at a later date. R-Series excavator operators can dig with greater confidence over the side of the machine with a standard dual-flange track roller system. The new dual-flange rollers extend the excavator's undercarriage structure closer to the track's edge and provide up to a 15-percent increase in over-the-side capacity and more stability. A new, integrated rear counterweight design lowers the excavator's center of gravity to further enhance machine stability. The new R-Series excavators feature strengthened hinges and latches, and rigid, aligned excavator panels to reduce vibration in the cab, especially when working on rough surfaces. CASE C SERIES MINI EXCAVATORS CASE Construction Equipment offers six new mini excavators: the CX17C, CX26C, CX33C, CX37C, CX57C and CX60C. This new offering expands the CASE mini excavator lineup to its broadest range of sizes ever, and provides a more comprehensive and feature-driven compact excavator solution to the landscaping market.
