Riding on equal-sized wheels, the 3CX Compact has selectable two- and four-wheel steering. A turning radius of 19 feet to the outside of the wheels with brakes engaged and 22 feet without brakes makes the machine highly maneuverable on urban jobsites. JOHN DEERE 30G COMPACT EXCAVATOR John Deere introduced the 30G compact excavator. This new model offers numerous performance features, such as increased lift capacity and improved breakout force. The 30G also incorporates all current G-Series features — including the standard pattern changer and standard hand-controlled proportional auxiliary hydraulics. The 30G will utilize 27D/26G buckets and attachments that customers may already be using in their fleet. The 30G comes equipped with all standard G-Series features, including mechanical pattern changers, quick couplers and proportional auxiliary hydraulics plumbed to the end of the boom. The 30G also utilizes many components that are common to the 35G. This will simplify parts tracking and maintenance. The new compact model features a redesigned cab with heat and air-conditioning for ultimate operator comfort in any climate. Within the operator station, a new seat with adjustable wrist rests for daylong comfort was added, and a suspension seat is standard. KUBOTA KX033-4 COMPACT EXCAVATOR Kubota introduced an addition to its popular KX excavator line with the new 3-ton-class KX033-4 compact excavator. With a 24.8-gross- horsepower engine, an impressive breakout force of 8,138 pounds, and a digging depth of 10 feet 6 inches, the KX033-4 can handle the toughest excavating jobs with speed and efficiency. A larger cab, dash-controlled presets for auxiliary circuits and a standard hydraulic diverter valve are a few examples of the new features. The KX033-4 also includes a large entrance, increased legroom, digital panel and enhanced ergonomics to reduce operator fatigue. TAKEUCHI TB216H COMPACT EXCAVATOR Takeuchi features the first hybrid dual-powered excavator in its lineup with the TB216H compact excavator. The TB216H features both an electric motor and diesel engine with its own pump group to power the machine's hydraulics. Machine performance is consistent regardless of the power source the operator chooses. In diesel mode, the machine is powered by a Yanmar Tier 4 Final engine that offers an output of 14.9 hp. For emissions-free environments, the machine can be powered by the 14.2-hp. electric motor. The diesel engine is ideal for normal day-to-day operation, to load, unload and power the machine to an enclosed jobsite where the machine can be plugged into a 400- to 480-volt three-phase power source for 100-percent emission-free operation. If it is connected to electric power while running the diesel engine, the diesel engine will automatically shut off and the machine will begin to run off electric power once the key has been cycled.
