Planning Ahead This issue of Landscape and Irrigation features our annual new product awards coverage (see page 8), and many of the winning products were introduced during last fall's biggest industry trade shows. So it seems odd to think about planning for the 2017 slate of industry events. But where pretty much everyone reading this is in the thick of the busy season, now is a good time for a reminder of what is coming this fall so you can start booking your travel arrangements now. GIE+EXPO and HNA Registration is now open for GIE+EXPO 2017, and with the combination of education, new exhibitors and travel discounts, it's shaping up to be even bigger than the last two record-setting years. The annual tradeshow is set for October 18-20 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, and online registration is available at www.gie-expo.com. "This year's show is a must-attend event for industry members who are looking to move their businesses to the next level," said Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI). "The opportunity to see new products, network with colleagues, and benefi t from educational opportunities makes it an extremely valuable business investment for exhibitors and attendees alike." After moving into the North Wing last year to accommodate growth, Hardscape North America (HNA) expects to continue its upward trajectory. Admission to the hardscape exhibits — both indoors and out — is included with GIE+EXPO registration. HNA also announced some intriguing educational sessions for 2017. David Murray, safety and health consultant for the State of Nevada, will lead a session on OSHA's new crystalline silica regulation; and Todd Bairstow, contractor and online marketing expert, will present a session on online lead generation. Irrigation Show 2017 Attendee registration is now open for the 2017 Irrigation Show and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 6 – 10. The Irrigation Show is the only trade show and conference dedicated to irrigation industry professionals — offering a single venue for access to the latest industry innovations, product experts, education and business networking opportunities. Irrigation Show 2017 will feature more than 25 classes to take your industry expertise to the next level, a technical program with nearly 50 sessions on groundbreaking research, more than 300 exhibitors, the new product contest, and more. For more information, visit www.irrigation.org/2017Show. New England GROWS New England GROWS, Nov. 29 – Dec. 1 in Boston, connects thousands of today's nursery, landscape and tree care professionals with top experts and leading suppliers from across the country and around the world.
