The next step up from Palazzo is the Aria, which debuted in 2016 and became TMC's first diesel coach equipped with solar power. It takes the place of the Tuscany XTE in the TMC diesel lineup. Aria features residential kitchen appliances, a 100-watt solar charging system and power controller, the Tilt-A-View inclining bed mechanism on the king-size bed and a custom dashboard for better visibility of the road and a separate camera monitor display and a standard power drop-down overhead bunk with Cotton Cloud mattress in the cockpit. Options include a leath- erette sofa bed option in the 3901 floorplan and a 32-inch TV in the cockpit overhead on the 3601. Aria's MSRPs start at $270,000. Next in price is the Vene- tian, with MSRPs starting at $315,000. For 2018, the Venetian gains a new molded fiberglass roof, a standard power drop-down bunk in the cockpit, solid-surface counters throughout the coach and a granite textured fiberglass shower surround. All TMC diesels are built on Freightliner XC-R raised rail chassis. K r i d e r s e e s m u l t i p l e trends within the diesel pusher market. In no partic- ular order, Krider notes that weaker builders and dealers REV Recreation's Discovery motorhome is the leading model and longest-standing brand under the Fleetwood diesel lineup. The motorhome has a new look this year, with LED lighting added to the front and rear caps and plenty of new amenities inside the coach. 25.07% 21.64% 17.50% 16.05% 12.11% 7.63% Figure 4 Top-Selling Diesel Class A OEMs in 2016 Market Manufacturer Share ■ Tiffin ........................................ 25.07% ■ Thor .......................................... 21.64% ■ Newmar .................................. 17.50% ■ REV Recreation ..................... 16.05% ■ Winnebago ............................. 12.11% ■ Others ........................................ 7.63% Total ........................................... 100.00% Source: Statistical Surveys
