rv-pro.com June 2017 • RV PRO • 47 (Seacoast RVs); David Major, trea- surer (Major's RV Service Center); Jeff Wozniak, secretary (Mann's RV); Matt Gilman, at-large member (Cold Springs RV); and Gregory Cory, at-large member (Macdonald's RV). Matt and Greg are service managers and provide us great input and guidance on our technician training and service programs. RV PRO: How is NERVDA dif- ferent and similar to other state dealer associations? Zagami: Only in size – and we do things on a smaller scale. We are the only multi-state RV dealer association in the country: Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts. We always joke that we want to be like FRVTA, PRVCA, TRVA, MARVAC, CALARVC and other great state associations when we grow up! RV PRO: Do you think the challenges you face with NERVDA are similar to the industry as a whole? Zagami: We reflect the industry. My obligation is to respond to the challenges and to be the hub for what is happening in the industry. I work closely with RVDA, RVIA and the other state associations to find out what is working, what can be improved, and developing new programs that bring real value to our members. We also want to build off the success of our industry, whether that is new social media initiatives, new trade or consumer shows, and bringing the economic impact of our industry to people's attention. We are also working with vocational high schools and post-graduation technical training schools to make them aware of the shortage of trained RV technicians and the incredible career opportunities that can be found in our industry. RV PRO: What is a typical day like for you? Zagami: My daily schedule is dic- tated by the time of year and the proj- ects we are working on at any particular time. November/December/January finds me consumed with the Boston RV & Camping Expo. • The intelligent way to charge & maintain your RV battery • Built-in patented Charge Wizard® technology can recharge the battery to 90% in 3-6 hours • 55, 45 & 35 Amp models available • Easy to install • Metal enclosure included
