CITY OF FLOWERS & TREES – “GIVE A TREE A LIFE” The City of Idaho Falls is heading into its sixth year with the “Adopt A Flowerbed” program. It is a volunteer activity for indi- viduals or families, groups, civic organiza- tions and businesses. We have a continued need for volunteers keeping the city a beautiful place to live. Anyone interested in planting and maintaining a flowerbed is invited to help us. Some of our beautiful flowerbeds that we will be adopting out are: Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation Center, Ball Diamond Beds in Tautphaus Park, Indian at North Tourist Park and various other flowerbeds in the city including some in Community Park and in Rose Hill Cemetery. If you would like to become part of this rewarding experience, please contact the city of Idaho Falls at 612-8479. In conjunction with the City of Idaho Falls “Give A Tree Life” program, we invite you to participate in building our city’s image as eastern Idaho’s “City of Flowers” through volunteering or cash donations. Help the City of Idaho Falls celebrate the planting of trees for Arbor Day. Celebrated locally the second Friday in May, the city along with pre-selected volunteer groups, plant new trees in locations throughout the city to maintain and increase the community forest in Idaho Falls’ public spaces. Call 612- 8179 for date, time and to qualify to help. If you wish to make a donation for con- tinued beautification, please make checks payable to: City of Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation PO Box 50220 Idaho Falls, ID 83405 beautifies your city parks, streets, cemeteries, and golf courses through commemora- tive tree purchases or donations.
