32 THE SHOP AUGUST 2017 In-Cabin Controller Superchips, Sanford, Florida, a Powerteq brand, offers the Dashpaq In-Cabin Controller with On- Dash Display. A performance tuner and monitor combination with coverage for gas and diesel trucks and SUVs, the Dashpaq pairs Superchips' flash tuning technology with a sharp on-dash display for real-time monitoring and performance management. A button interface is used to navigate between power levels, customize for options like aftermarket tires and/or gears, and set user-adjustable engine parameters. GM Vortec 5.7-Liter Head Gasket Sets MAHLE, Farmington Hills, Michigan, offers MAHLE Original head gasket sets for 1996-2002 General Motors 5.7-liter, 8-cylinder Vin R Vortec engines. The exhaust manifold gaskets are made from multi-layer steel (MLS) and the intake manifold gaskets have new-technology polymer construction for superior sealing. On the intake manifold, the coolant ports are fully encapsulated with HNB to protect against organic acid technology (OAT) coolant, and metal load limiters prevent over-torqueing. The complete set includes 35 pieces. Aluminum Valve Covers Holley Performance Products, Bowling Green, Kentucky, presents its Mr. Gasket brand Finned Fabricated Aluminum Valve Covers that put a modern twist on a classic, old-school design. Constructed of 6061 T5 sheet aluminum and available for small-block Chevys and Fords, the covers feature a CNC- machined finned top and are TIG- welded for a leak-proof fit. The SBC version is available in silver-anodized and black-coated finishes. Small- block Ford valve covers are available in black, and all three have a finned top plate for a retro appearance. Sleeved LT1 Cylinder Block Katech, Clinton Township, Michigan, introduces a new sleeved LT1 cylinder block that supports greater-displacement Gen V LT1 engines and serves as the foundation for 427-ci/7.0-liter engine combinations including Katech's 700-hp Street Attack 427 crate engine. The setup starts with a brand-new LT1 aluminum cylinder block and replaces the stock gray cast iron cylinder liners with stronger, centrifugally cast ductile iron liners offered rough-bored to 4.120 inches or finish-honed to 4.125 inches or 4.130 inches. The ductile iron sleeves provide added flexibility. GM Load Support System Air Lift Co., Lansing, Michigan, presents the LoadLifter 7500 XL Load Support system, now available for 2000-'10 GM 2500HD and 3500 pickups. Providing up to 7,500 pounds of load- leveling capacity, the heavy-duty setup offers support at lower air pressures for increased ride comfort. It features a pair of 7-inch, double-convoluted air springs that eliminate problems frequently faced when towing and hauling including squat, trailer sway, body roll and bottoming out. Upper and lower roll plates protect the air springs from sharp edges. Cold Air Intake Banks Power, Azusa, California, a division of Gale Banks Engineering, offers a Ram-Air Cold Air Intake for 2013-'17 Ram 6.7-liter applications. With an enclosed cold-air housing, large inlet, dome-shaped lifetime filter and streamlined design, the Banks Ram-Air Intake maximizes the flow of cool, dense air to the engine for greater power and fuel economy. The system is designed to not cause fault or error codes, and an optional Super-Scoop is available. Full-Floating Rear Axle Retaining Bolt Kit Stage 8 Locking Fasteners, San Rafael, California, introduces a Full-Floating Rear Axle Retaining Bolt Kit. The new kit uses patented locking fastener technology and locks the eight bolts that hold the axle (commonly known as the GM Corporate 14 Bolt or the Dana 60, 70 and 80 rear axles shaft) to the rear drive hub. The kit is comprised of 16 1/2-13x1 1/2-inch 6-point Grade 8 bolts and all the locking hardware to go with them. Stainless steel locking retainers add strength and snap rings provide dependability.
