Words Brooke Thio PROFILE Set on lush landscaped grounds in the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, the brand-new Disney Explorers Lodge features indoor and outdoor settings, designed to reect exotic cultures in Asia, South America, Africa, and Oceania. In addition to the three restaurants and four themed gardens, guests enjoy easy access to amenities at two other hotels in the resort. FRONT DESK The expansive lobby's vaulted ceiling is a lovely complement to the towering chandeliers and natural, wood-toned décor. The front desk, manned by a procient team, is designed to process large groups of guests. ROOM SERVICE The seven-storey, 750-room hotel is split into four wings that showcase indigenous art and artefacts from Asia, Oceania, South America, and Africa; rooms are similarly themed with tribal motifs. All the rooms feature sea or garden views, an open-concept bathroom, and high-speed Wi-Fi. ENTERTAIN An award-winning culinary team is at the heart of the resort's themed creations, which span across more than 550 dishes including 30 specialty drinks and exclusive cakes, available at the three restaurants at Disney Explorers Lodge. A daily breakfast buet is served at Dragon Wind, which also specialises in provincial Chinese fare, while World of Color serves exotic dishes like Brazilian seafood chowder, Mongolian lamb skewers, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi salmon. For casual dining, the Chart Room Café oers sandwiches, pasta, and pastries. With all three hotels in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort within walking distance of each other, guests can easily access all the amenities. MEETING POINT The hotel's four themed gardens, named after Disney movie characters, feature unique ora and landscapes from dierent regions of the world. These, in addition to the Raindrop Pool, can be utilised for outdoor product launches or cocktail receptions. Shuttles are available to transport guests to meetings at the conference centre, located at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. The resort's in-house events team can also organise team-building activities.
