The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017. Müller is a pioneer in precision farming, known for developing, producing and selling electronic control units and embedded software that provides vehicle and implement control for tractors, combines, fi eld sprayers, drills, seeders, spreaders and slurry tankers to improve the management of inputs such as seed, fertilizer and pesticides. The acquisition of Müller-Elektronik will include the company's other operations— WTK Elektronik, ME-France, ME Sudamerica, and Mueller Electronics, Inc. The Müller-Elektronik businesses will be reported as part of Trimble's resources and utilities segment. Whitaker Named CEO of AGCO-Amity JV AGCO-Amity JV, a leading manufacturer and distributor of tillage and seeding equipment under the Amity, Wil-Rich and Wishek brands, announces the appointment of Keith Whitaker to the position of CEO. In this role, Whitaker will be responsible for defi ning and implementing the AGCO-Amity JV seeding and tillage business growth strategy that builds on the agronomic strengths and technology of its products, closeness with its customers, and expanded distribution opportunities.
