36 commercial carrier journal | august 2017 technology Stay Metrics to help Prime Inc. match drivers, trainers S tay Metrics, provider of an evidence- based driver engagement, research and analytics platform that motor carriers use to retain more of their best drivers, announced a driver match- ing application through a partnership with Twegos, a Belgium-based human resources technology company. Stay Metrics and Twegos both apply scientific methods and data-driven research to solve problems for clients. e companies says the technology, developed by Twegos, accurately can predict the fit of individual drivers with any individual organization, team, col- league or manager based on a model that screens for 14 values. "e value assessment and profile give insights that can predict driver turnover and, more importantly, identify the best match for drivers with trainers, dispatch- ers and managers to increase engage- ment and retention," said Tim Hindes, chief executive officer of Stay Metrics. To create the value profile measure- ments, Twegos uses methodologies in- spired by a 1997 study from Dr. Timothy Judge, Stay Metrics' director of research. "We are excited to collaborate with Stay Metrics and put our evidence-based value assessment technology to work in an industry with a high turnover environment," said Arend Van Itterbeek, CEO of Twegos. Prime Inc. (CCJ Top 250, No. 15), the first Stay Metrics customer to implement the new driver-matching tool, will use the technology to facilitate a scientific process to pair driver trainees with Prime driver trainers, with whom they will spend three to four weeks working over the road. "A more scientific approach to match- ing instructors and trainees will improve the overall experience for both parties," said Jim Guthrie, director of recruiting for the Springfield, Mo.-based company. Hindes said the value assessment tech- nology also has utility for transportation and logistics companies beyond driver matching. "Driver matching will fulfill an immediate need for many of our clients, but there are many more opportunities to apply the technology to build a better workforce," he said. – Aaron Huff C M Y CM MY CY CMY K June_CCJ_Ancra RAR_7x4.5.pdf 1 5/8/17 8:54 AM Untitled-23 1 5/11/17 1:20 PM Prime Inc. will use the technology to facilitate a scientific process to pair driver trainees with driver trainers.
