Many of them appear to be in line for significant playing time this year, but this group remains un- proven with not much star power. Its two best contributors to date, wide receiver Grant Perry and offensive lineman Grant Newsome, have gone through significant adversity due to off-field issues and injury, respec- tively, and most of the others have yet to step up. Here's an in-depth look at the 2015 class and what it has accomplished: THE TOP FOUR CONTRIBUTORS SO FAR 1. WR Grant Perry: The 6-0 re- ceiver surprised as a true freshman, catching 14 passes for 128 yards and a touchdown, and he started strong last year, including a touchdown catch in the opener versus Hawai'i. Perry finished with 13 receptions for 183 yards and a score, but he got in trouble during U-M's bye week, slowing his progress. His court case has been resolved, and he's back READY TO CONTRIBUTE The Small 2015 Class Has A Number Of Players In Contention For Action Junior Grant Perry has caught 27 passes for 311 yards and two touchdowns so far in his U-M career, but he could significantly add to those totals as the most experienced receiver on the roster in 2017.
