SEPTEMBER 2017 THE WOLVERINE 67   FOOTBALL RECRUITING Micah Parsons, 6-3, 235, Harrisburg, Pa. (Harrisburg) The one-time Penn State commit is likely leaning toward Ohio State, but has mentioned Michigan as a school he's interested in throughout the process. Rivals ranks him as the top weakside end and No. 5 overall player nationally. Ronnie Perkins, 6-4, 260, St. Louis (Lutheran North) The land's No. 13 strongside end is high on the Wolverines and might have Michigan in the upper third of his top 12 along with LSU, Missouri and Oklahoma. Defensive Tackle Jordan Davis, 6-6, 320, Charlotte. N.C. (Mallard Creek) The jumbo athlete is quiet, but appears to be highest on in-state programs North Carolina State and North Carolina, despite big offers like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan and Okla- homa, but it's tough to figure out exactly what the nation's No. 17 defensive tackle thinking. Rick Sandidge, 6-5, 263, Concord, N.C. (Concord) The country's No. 4 defensive tackle visited Michigan with his family earlier this spring and loved it. He's one of U-M's top overall targets and is being recruited very hard. Michael Thompson, 6-4, 273, St. Louis (Parkway North) One of Michigan's top overall targets stopped by Ann Arbor for the BBQ in late July. Rivals ranks him as the No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 37 overall player in the country. Tommy Togiai, 6-3, 293, Pocatello, Idaho (Highland) Michigan is in the four-star's top group along with Utah, Wash- ington, Ohio State, Penn State, TCU, USC and Wisconsin. Linebacker Cameron McGrone, 6-1, 210, Indianapolis (Lawrence Central) Was offered in June after visiting and committed to the Wolver- ines just a few days after spending time in Ann Arbor for the BBQ. Otis Reese, 6-2, 195, Leesburg, Ga. (Lee County) The nation's No. 7 outside linebacker is the Wolverines' longest- tenured commit, dating back to June 2016. Cornerback Sammy Faustin, 6-2, 170, Naples, Fla. (Naples) He swung by Ann Arbor for the BBQ and committed just a few days later. He wasn't always one of U-M's top targets, but defen- sive coordinator Don Brown fell in love with him and accepted his pledge. Gemon Green, 6-2, 173, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) The No. 32 cornerback nationally is the exact type of athlete Mike Zordich likes at cornerback and that match created a solid commitment. D'Shawn Jamison, 5-10, 174, Houston (Lamar) Has a top five consisting of Michigan, Texas, TCU, Oregon and USC, and he plans to announce his decision Oct. 14. It feels like he'll stay in Texas, but Michigan has always been a part of the mix for the No. 24 cornerback in the class. Myles Sims, 6-3, 173, Atlanta (Westlake) Like Green, he is extremely long and is the exact type of corner- back Michigan wants to put on the field. Rivals ranks Sims as the No. 7 cornerback and No. 56 prospect overall in the class of 2018. Isaac Taylor-Stuart, 6-2, 177, San Diego (St. Augustine) The borderline five-star player possesses elite speed that he's put on display by winning a couple of fast-man competitions throughout this offseason. He'll probably stay in the West, but he's still on Michigan's board. Safety Aashari Crosswell, 6-1, 185, Long Beach, Calif. (Poly) The nation's No. 12 safety routinely mentions Michigan as one of his top schools, but has not made any concrete plans to check out the Wolverines. If he does, he'll be considered a top remaining target at safety. German Green, 6-2, 180, DeSoto, Texas (DeSoto) Like his twin brother, he is long and athletic — but he is coming off of an ACL tear. The three-star prospect is up to speed now and is solidly committed to U-M. Julius Irvin, 6-1, 180, Anaheim, Calif. (Servite) The country's No. 33 safety dropped a top five consisting of Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Utah and Washington July 21. He hasn't been to Ann Arbor yet, but he plans to this fall. Athlete Bryan Addison, 6-5, 175, Gardena, Calif. (Junipero Serra) In early April, he released a top five of USC, UCLA, Oregon, Ne- braska and Arizona State, but then Michigan offered in June. He was supposed to be in Ann Arbor for the BBQ, but was unable to make it. Michael Barrett, 6-0, 200, Valdosta, Ga. (Lowndes) He would be a great backfield compliment to already committed Christian Turner, but LSU and Tennessee are working hard to land the three-star talent. Michigan is also squarely in the mix. James Graham, 6-1, 180, Fitzgerald, Ga. (Fitzgerald) Was once as a dual-threat quarterback, but is now looked at as an athlete. Michigan likes the nation's No. 20 athlete at running back and has continued to recruit him, but it's feeling more and more like he'll stay in the South. Talanoa Hufanga, 6-1, 194, Corvallis, Ore. (Crescent Valley) Has a top 10 of Notre Dame, Utah, Oregon, Alabama, Washing- ton, USC, Michigan, Oregon State, UCLA and Nebraska, but could be hard to lure out of Corvallis. Shocky Jacques-Louis, 6-0, 170, Fort Myers, Fla. (Dunbar) Michigan, Michigan State and Tennessee offered the three-star prospect not long after he decommitted from Kentucky. He's still high on the Wildcats, but the Vols may be the favorite. Michigan is hanging around and could have more of a shot if his recruit- ment drags on.
