I will start with every single person who supported this event, by purchasing tickets, attending the night of, sending monetary donations, and there were many, donating prizes for raffle, Rideau Lakes Building Centre (Jim and Charlene Summers), Sarah, Devin and Kenzie Simpson, Dan and Cindy Simpson, Roy and Julie Burk, Deb Lambe, Shelby Hodson, of Magi J. Designs Fine Jewellery, Angie Phillips, LP Electric, Angie and Dave Ferguson, Robert and Julie Coon, Allan Coon, Ryan and Kaitlyn Patterson, The Opini- con Resort, Trevor and Angie Phillips, John Prevost and Tara Thompson, Wolseley Mechanical, Sheila Mallen, Joanne Dickson for the beautiful and delicious cakes, Howie Crichton for creating the wonderful write up and equally wonderful ad in this paper, Hugh from the Hinton Auto Group for his interview, our decorator extraordinaire, Darlene Lake and her assistants, Carl and Rochelle Lake, our helper with setup and the ticket table, Kaitlyn Patterson, Mrs. Whalen's student volunteers, Silas Burns, Hayden Berryere, Nate Ray, Matt Taite and Tristan McManus, our personal volunteer recruits, Jocelyn, Natasha and Brooklyn Cooper, Helen and Anna Whalen, our runner during setup, Zachary Burtch, the good natured and patient bartenders, Gail Summers, Shannon Clair and Shelly Summers- Nichols, the band like no other, Backlash, Mark Sly, Mark Connell, John McKinley, Bruce McElroy and John Gamache, my family, Jason and April Burtch, Amy and Shannon Whalen, with a shout out to Amy who did the inter- view with the Hinton Auto Group that turned out well despite forgetting the name of the band. I feel at his point I would like to recognize Monique Hartley whose passion for the Park It With Parker project, inspired our passion, Parker's families, Sarah, Devin, Kenzie, Dan, Cindy, Tara, Ann Marie, Frankie, Roy, Julie, Jeff, Ross, Laurie and Deb for supporting the idea from its inception. Last, but definitely not least, the two people who prepared the dinner, my daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Daryl Underwood. They did the grocery shopping and worked in the kitchen from early morning until the end of the evening and I feel their contribution was a major factor to the success of the event. The only result our family hoped to accomplish from the evening was to be able to provide South Crosby Public School with the funds they required to move forward with this very personal and important project. That result has been met. We hope the staff, students, families and visitors can sit and reflect that because cancer takes loved ones, those loved ones can be remembered in the best possible way and Park It With Parker, for the Simpson, Burk and South Crosby families, along with the community, is the best way possible way.
