Little is known about McGuire and Co., as it does not appear in the Westport tax records housed in the museum (which dates from 1904 through the 1950s). A visitor from the U.S. spotted it in an antique shop and thought that the bottle should be returned to its hometown. It was purchased for The Rideau District Museum in 2012.
