Fall 2017 - 37 www.turftrends.com REOPENING OF BACK NINE AND PRACTICE RANGE MARKS END OF 7-YEAR PROJECT Crane Creek Country Club in Boise, Idaho, unveiled a brand new golf course and re- designed practice area to its members when phase two of the master plan finished in July. As the club hosted the Canyon Classic, its annual men's member/guest tournament, players were greeted by a vastly improved practice facility featuring two new practice putting greens, a designated practice green for pitching and chipping, a doubling of full-swing hitting stations and a range that accommodates 300-plus yard drives with premium Titleist practice balls. They also played three entirely new holes on the back nine and attempted to avoid 35 newly- designed, on-course bunkers. The reopening of Crane Creek's back nine marks the completion of a project encompassing two new indoor tennis courts and an outdoor stadium court, complementing Practice green and Number 18
