the help of our good friends at the Potato Variety Management
Institute. Yukon Nugget is being touted as a higher-yielding
replacement for Yukon Gold.

HISTORY
• Developed by the Tri-State Breeding
and Research Program, released in 2014
• PVP applied for in 2014
• Parentage: PA99P35-1 × Rose Gold
KEY ATTRIBUTES
• High marketable yields with few defects
• Excellent fresh culinary quality
• Bright, clear skin and flesh color
• Medium to early maturity
MANAGEMENT
• Spacing: Growers are encouraged to
adjust in-row spacing according to their
respective experience with Yukon Gold
and the market sizes needed. In-row
spacing of 10 inches works well for a
harvest date of approximately 110 days
after planting.
• Fertilization: As recommended for
Yukon Gold in respective growing area
• Storability: Medium storage capability
with dormancy between 100 and 145
days.
• Harvest Conditions: Growers should
maintain good soil moisture after vine-
kill to promote skin-set.
• Resistant to Metribuzin
PRODUCTION
• Yukon Nugget seed is grown primarily
