And when employees at B&W Trailer Hitches and Blue Ox feel sick or suffer a minor injury at work, they have access to medical care at their place of business. Those are just a few wellness offerings that RV suppliers (and many other businesses nationwide) are offering to employees as they seek ways to develop a healthier and happier workforce. For their part, employers can benefit from such programs in the form of lower absenteeism, increased work productivity and a reduction in employee costs related to workers' compensation and disability insurance, a number of studies indicate. Different companies offer varying levels of wellness offer- ings – and that's perfectly fine, according to RV parts suppliers with wellness programs who spoke to RV PRO for this article. What's most important, they say, is creating a program that is responsive to the needs of employees. Aqua-Hot, Blue Ox and B&W are just a few companies that have instituted their own programs with the goal of creating healthier, happier, more productive workforces. By Holli L.
