72 THE WOLVERINE OCTOBER 2017   MICHIGAN IN THE PROS play during the following drive, fin- ishing the game with two sacks and four total tackles. There was concern Cousins' arm might have been going forward and that the first fumble would be ruled an incomplete pass, but replay up- held the call. "I saw the ball, and I just went for it," Graham said. "I didn't realize that I hit it out of his hand. I thought he was throwing it at first. "The biggest thing we talk about is, 'Who was going to be that guy in the end to be the big man?' The su- perstars make the plays in the end. It doesn't matter who it is. It happened to be me this time. But it could be someone else next time." NFL NOTES • Four former Wolverines did not sur‑ vive the final roster cuts prior to the start of the season. Baltimore Ravens punter Kenny Allen performed well during the preseason, but not well enough to unseat veteran incumbent Sam Koch. The Ravens also parted ways with defensive end Bren‑ nen Beyer. He was waived after sign‑ ing an injury settlement following two years with the team. Defensive tackle Matt Godin played well for the Houston Texans during the preseason with four tackles in two ex‑ hibition games before tearing his ACL and getting waived. Fullback Joe Kerridge reached an injury settlement with the Green Bay Packers and was let go after hurting his calf before the final preseason game.
