At Microsoft, Hood is responsible for leading the company's worldwide finance organization, including acquisitions, treasury activities, tax planning, accounting and reporting, and internal audit and investor relations. She has been CFO since July 2013. "We are extremely pleased to welcome Ms. Hood to our board," says Inge Thulin, 3M's chair- man, president and CEO. Atlanta-based GCI Graphics, a full- service print and graphics shop with more than a quarter century in business, announces its move into a new state- of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot produc- tion facility. The new building provides additional efficiencies for printing and finishing clients' grand format printing projects. It is part of a 151,000-square- foot corporate facility operated by Exploring Inc., the parent company of GCI Graphics and several other Atlanta- based companies including ID3 Group, Chisel 3D, Atlantis Waterjet, Brumark and Shelmarc Carpets. Seiko Epson Corp., a Japan-based manufacturer of printers and related technologies, announces the opening of its new inkjet printer plant in the Philippines. Epson Precision is the company's manufacturing subsidiary on that island nation. The company says it's preparing to increase inkjet printer and projector production this year and the new plant, which was completed at the end of June, provides extra inkjet printer production capac- ity. The company invested about $143 million into the new two-story, steel- framed building, which is approximately 354,000 square feet. GMG Americas, the Massachusetts- based office of Germany-based GMG, a developer and supplier of high-end color management software solu- tions, announces the opening of a new office on the West Coast. The new office will be located in Irvine, Califor- nia. The company says that as its color management solutions continue to be adopted by more U.S. firms, it has seen its customer list on the West Coast grow. It adds that having a physical presence in that part of the country will not only allow it to serve its existing customers better but the West Coast is also the country's largest print market.
