Free to the public, this all-ages event is sure to make an art lover out of every Pasadenan in attendance. Now in its twelfth year, the Pasadena ArtWalk is back this time with more booths, vendors and extended hours. Presented by the Pasadena Playhouse District, this event features works in a wide array of media including sculpture, photography, jewelry, painting, and ceramics. Highlights of the event include a juried art show, hands-on activities, and live entertainment. If you're looking for that unique piece to spruce up the old homestead, there are plenty of art sale booths to choose from that are full of original works. After you're done perusing the goods, you can head over to the Pasadena Museum of California Art and enjoy free admission when you present your ArtWalk sticker or program at the door. But not before you visit their art-making booth where visitors can design a Hollywood film poster and create block print designs inspired by the exhibit by local artist Dave Lefner, called "LA Redux: Reduction Linocuts." Sat., 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Free. Playhouse District, Pasadena, CA 91101. For more information visit playhousedistrict.org. -D.L. the W H E R E T O G O , W H A T T O D O DATEBOOK 170 SEPTEMBER 2017
