68 THE WOLVERINE NOVEMBER 2017   FOOTBALL RECRUITING Quarterback Joe Milton, 6-5, 210, Orlando, Fla. (Olympia) Committed May 7 and appeared to be the only quarterback Michigan would take in 2018, but that changed. Checks in as the No. 6 dual-threat quarterback and No. 106 overall prospect nationally. Kevin Doyle, 6-4, 210, Washington, D.C. (St. John's College High)* For a while it looked like Michigan would only take one quarterback, but then he visited for the Air Force game, picked up an offer and ulti- mately committed to head coach Jim Harbaugh. Running Back Hassan Haskins, 6-2, 195, Eureka, Mo. (Eureka) Listed as a two-star prospect, he picked up a Michigan offer in mid- October and is now a very real option to end up in Ann Arbor. U-M is his biggest offer on paper and it's not close. Christian Turner, 5-10, 180, Buford, Ga. (Buford) Pledged to the Wolverines April 10, has been active on Twitter recruit- ing other players in and around Georgia, and was in Ann Arbor for his official visit for the Michigan State game. Carries a three-star rating and is the No. 15 running back nationally. Wide Receiver Kamryn Babb, 6-1, 175, St. Louis (Christian Brothers College High) Unfortunately tore up his knee at the beginning of his senior cam- paign, but was one of Michigan's top targets at wide receiver before that. His four-star rating isn't in jeopardy, but his ranking as the No. 34 wide receiver and No. 164 overall prospect nationally could be. The U-M coaches dropped by to see him during their bye week. Michael Ezeike, 6-5, 210, Ontario, Calif. (Colony) Is quite high on Oregon, but the Michigan offer from early in the spring has his attention. He'll officially visit U-M for the Ohio State game and that could be a game changer. Carries a four-star rating and is consid- ered the No. 47 wide receiver in the country. Dillon Spalding, 6-2, 210, Lorton, Va. (South County)* Visited Michigan for the Air Force game earlier this fall and left Ann Arbor with an offer. Michigan will certainly have a good shot with him, but it'll be interesting to see what his deciding factors are with U-M get- ting involved so late compared to other schools. He is the No. 19 player in Virginia. Amon-Ra St. Brown, 6-1, 187, Santa Ana, Calif. (Mater Dei) Everyone wants the five-star and No. 1-ranked receiver in the country, but it looks like he'll end up at either USC, where his teammate and five-star quarterback J.T. Daniels is committed, or at Notre Dame or Stanford where his older brothers play. He did officially visit Michigan for the Michigan State game, but U-M is probably running fourth in his recruitment. Tight End Luke Ford, 6-7, 247, Carterville, Ill. (Carterville) The nation's No. 1 tight end visited Ann Arbor a couple of times in July and is definitely considering the Wolverines. Most people think that the former Arkansas commit will end up at Alabama, where he visited in mid-October, but the No. 72 overall prospect nationally is still looking around. Mustapha Muhammad, 6-5, 225, Missouri City, Texas (Ridge Point) The country's No. 19 tight end will make his decision Oct. 20 and many expect it to be Michigan. He was in Dallas for U-M's opener and always speaks highly of Harbaugh and the Wolverines, but was in UCLA for an official visit in early October and liked what the Bruins showed him as well. Luke Schoonmaker, 6-6, 229, Hamden, Conn. (Hamden Hall Coun- try Day School) He surprised many when he committed to Michigan because he kept his recruitment very quiet. The Wolverine coaching staff spotted the three-star at a satellite camp, scouted him and offered him in June. The speedy tight end was a member of the class within two months and has not even glanced at another program since. Tommy Tremble, 6-4, 225, Norcross, Ga. (Wesleyan)* It didn't look like U-M was going to offer anymore tight ends in the 2018 class, but one came through for Tremble and it immediately vaulted U-M into contention for him. He broke his ankle earlier this fall, which halted his recruitment a bit but that didn't keep Harbaugh and his staff from reaching out. He is the No. 21 tight end in the country and the No. 47 player in Georgia. Offensive Line Jerome Carvin, 6-4, 305, Cordova, Tenn. (Cordova) Michigan offered the No. 20 tackle in the country in May and has been giving him a lot of attention since. The coaching staff is still looking to land another tackle or two, and he is definitely an option. The Tennessee native is the No. 20 offensive tackle in the country. Emil Ekiyor, 6-4, 315, Indianapolis (Cathedral) The No. 6 guard and No. 125 overall player nationally is technically still committed to Michigan, but it seems like a matter of time before he flips to Alabama. He's been to Tuscaloosa many times and is definitely listening to Nick Saban's pitch. Daniel Faalele, 6-9, 390, Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy) The No. 23 offensive tackle is an enigma. He definitely likes Michigan — along with Georgia, Clemson and possibly the Florida schools — but he doesn't talk to the media and is an unknown on the field because he's battled some injuries this year. He's the No. 23 offensive tackle nationally based purely on his upside. Ryan Hayes, 6-7, 250, Traverse City, Mich. (West) In true, "Up North" fashion, the No. 51 tackle in the country committed to U-M very discretely in late May and isn't looking around. He was in town for Michigan's disappointing loss to Michigan State, but couldn't be happier with his commitment. Jalen Mayfield, 6-5, 250, Grand Rapids, Mich. (Catholic Central) Just four days before Hayes, the No. 20 player in Michigan committed to U-M, and he isn't going anywhere. Schools like Alabama, Ohio State and USC are begging him to check them out, but he's solid to the Wol- verines and plans to sign early in December. Nick Petit-Frere, 6-5, 265, Tampa, Fla. (Berkeley Prep) The No. 13 offensive tackle and No. 175 overall prospect nationally is exactly what offensive line coach Greg Frey is looking for at the posi- tion. He's long and athletic, and is probably the top offensive line target remaining for Michigan. He doesn't have a top group yet, but will likely include the Wolverines when that materializes. Defensive End Eyabi Anoma, 6-5, 225, Baltimore (St. Frances) He is a quiet kid and can be tough to read. Former U-M staffer Biff Poggi is the head coach now at St. Frances. Harbaugh dropped by St. Frances during the bye week to check in on the country's No. 5 weak- 2018 Scholarship Offer Master List Rk. School Commits 1. Ohio State 18 2. Miami (Fla.) 19 3.
