Industry Shocked by Sign Shop Shooting The sign industry was shocked by news of a Sept. 27 mass shooting that occurred at Minneapolis-based Accent Signage Systems resulting in six fatalities. According to Minneapolis police, Andrew Engeldinger, 36, after being fired from his job at the sign shop, pulled out a handgun and began shooting, fatally wounding the owner and four others before turning the gun on himself. Officers summoned to the scene found two people dead, four wounded, and the shooter dead of a self-inflicted wounds. Three of the wounded died later at an area hospital. Police later reported that tion (ISA) announced on Oct. 4 that it had established a fund at a local Wells Fargo Bank branch to benefit impacted families. The fund, titled Benefit Families of Accent Signage, is being handled through the Wells Fargo branch at 615 N. 7th St., Minneapolis, MN 55411. Those killed include Accent Signage founder Reuven Rahamim, 61; employees Rami Cooks, 62, Jacob Beneke, 34, and Ronald Edberg, 58; as well as Keith Basinski, 50, a UPS delivery driver who happened to be at the business while doing his route.
