I was sure that the only way to make red on black work would be with a white outline around the letters. Hand-painting proved to be more economical and easier to do than using white cut-out outline shapes. This was my first time using custom-formed acrylic Gemini letters. Setting up the posts can be time-consuming and hard on the hands. These prismatic letters also required extra care to gap properly, due to the somewhat floppy acrylic. I used a combination of hand-lettering and flat-cut acrylic to balance out the layout and budget. This shows a pounce pattern in process above the plank. original ideas that they liked. Perhaps, it's a shortcoming on my part that I'm not creating more persuasive alternatives, but I don't approach this process like a wan- nabe graphic designer. I'm billing myself as a veteran sign guy who has been mak- ing buildings like theirs jump for twenty- five years.
