EASY-TO-INSTALL WINDOW FILM Drytac, Richmond, Va., launches Viziprint, a clear, UV-printable, self-adhesive polyester window film that is easy to install. Similar to Drytac's WindowTac adhesive, ViziPrint uses a specially designed, embossed release liner that imparts micro grooves in the adhesive allowing for air evacuation using just a felt burnishing pad. The proprietary adhesive is removable and repositionable, making installation simple and eliminating professional installa- tion costs. ViziPrint is printable on most UV-curing flatbed printers. For opaque window graphics, it can be printed with white inks or backed with Drytac Spectrum, a white printable vinyl with clear adhesive. For more information, visit www.drytac.com. EPANDED COLOR GAMUT PrinterEvolution, Louisville, Colo., announces the addition of orange and violet inks for the Evo 33 printer for increased color gamut, saturation, color accuracy, warmth and smoothing. Until now, PrinterEvolution's Evo33 has been using four channels, though it was originally engineered with six total channels for future developments, according to Greg Lamb, CEO of the company. The Evo33 uses true greyscale versa drop technology, making smoothing colors unnecessary for midtones and gradients. "Orange and violet expand our current color gamut even further and increase overall color saturation," says Lamb. "In particular the orange adds warmth and additional smoothing to warm colors and skin tones, and expands the gamut and saturation of reds. For further informa- tion visit www.printerevolution.com. WORKFLOW AUTOMATION SOFTWARE Esko, Gent, Belgium, announces Automation Engine 12, a major component of its Suite 12 software for the packaging, label, sign making and display industries. In addition, Automation Engine 12 achieves standout performance by being the first to provide full workflow automation for jobs that combine multiple printing techniques.
