FESTIVALS & EVENTS FRANKENMUTH AUTOFEST SEPTEMBER 8 – 10 FALL Over 2000 classic cars, street rods and muscle cars. Main Street closes Friday night for the Big Block Party. Classic cars on display Saturday and Sunday in Heritage Park, with Oldies Fest happening Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday are less crowded than Friday night, allowing groups a more relaxed time at the festival. FRANKENMUTH OKTOBERFEST SEPTEMBER 14 – 17 A German festival, featuring the traditional large wooden dance floor. Good food, drinks and souveniors! While this festival is typically very busy, there are still spots to sit and enjoy the music, making it a great event for visitors who want to have fun but also relax. BRÜCKELÄUFE (THE BRIDGE RACE) OCTOBER 7 The Brückeläufe Race crosses 13 bridges in its 13.1 miles! A great event for athletic focused school groups or sports teams. WEIN & STEIN OCTOBER 5 Explore Frankenmuth by sampling beer, wine and snacks at many pubs, bars and breweries! If you're looking for a fun way to spend a Thursday night with the girls, this is it! MICHIGAN'S BIG COUNTRY FEST OCTOBER 20 – 21 Slip on your cowboy boots, tip your hat and swing on over to MI's Big Country Fest! Enjoy many live bands, bar, mechanical bull, BBQ, line dancing, activities, and much more! Perfect for groups that want to experience the hustle, bustle and music of a Frankenmuth festival without the huge crowd. SCARECROW FEST OCTOBER 14–15, 21–22 The town is full of unique and clever costumed scarecrows. Text your vote for your favorite! Fall festivities are also held at Frankenmuth River Place Shops. For groups that want to enjoy a seasonal walking tour in the Fall, this is for you. HOLIDAY CELEBRATION & CANDLEWALK NOVEMBER 24 A perfect way to start the Christmas season. Free hot chocolate & cookies, telling of the Christmas story and lighting of the community tree.
