The bushings are welded to 2.5" x 2.5" steel tubing that telescopes into 4" steel tubing to make our two-piece signs posts. These welds, the only ones in this project, are on the side away from the camera. The structural parts are ready to make the trip to the powder coating shop. All our parts fit on two racks for powder coating, and received a durable glossy maroon finish. These finished powder coated parts are ready to go to the jobsite. The main posts were only 12' long, with an upper section that telescopes into place. Getting them both on the same plane, and perfectly level is important. The upper post sections simply drop into place, the bushing fit snug but not too tight. The upper brackets are secured with heavy duty self-tapping screws.
