ARCHITECTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL The side pieces are attached to the top member, and then the bottom frame member fits in place over fitting secured to the side pieces. Rivets front and back hold the frame members together, and later fastened more by the face panels themselves. The bottom brackets are secured to the poles and to the sign frame using rivets and heavy duty self-tapping screws. Once the four sides of the frame are in place, and secured to the posts, the uprights are put in place with their triangle fittings. 62 • November 2017 • S I G N & D I G I T A L G R A P H I C S The whole job is easy for just one man and a small bucket truck.
