The magazine holds a compelling position in the marketplace. As is well known, when Steve Ciarcia founded this magazine in 1988 he named it after his popular column called "Circuit Cellar" in BYTE magazine. He gave it the Circuit Cellar name but he also maintained that unique level of technical depth that entices engineers. In that spirit, I'm committed to maintain Circuit Cellar as the most technical information resource for professional engineers, academics and other electronics specialists world-wide. Today Circuit Cellar is more than just a magazine entity. It's a trusted brand engaging readers every day on our website, each week via our newsletter and each month with the magazine—in print and digital formats. Because embedded technology always evolves, it's also part of our mission to put technology into context. With that in mind, Circuit Cellar continues to enhance its coverage of technology trends. We're also expanding our coverage of the key, fast- growing market-spaces that are driving today's semiconductor and embedded computing technologies. This includes game-changing applications such as commercial drones, driverless cars, Internet-of-Things (IoT), robotics, mobile devices and more. Circuit Cellar is unique in the way its readers inspire the magazine's character. Yes, there are many long-established publications that cover electronics. But you can tell just by looking at the features and columns in Circuit Cellar that we get right down to the bits and bytes and lines of code—at a level our readers revel in. Circuit Cellar aims its editorial both at engineers at big corporations looking for high volume play, but also at small start-up vendors looking to find their own niche in those same new markets. Circuit Cellar readers come from both of those perspectives. 2018 marks Circuit Cellar's 30th year. Throughout the year, we look forward to serving our loyal, passionate Circuit Cellar readers and our supporting advertisers, by fulfilling our role as the best resource inspiring the evolution of embedded design. We welcome you to engage with us and be a part of the next 30 years of embedded design along with us.
