The Climate Corporation's Climate FieldView digital agriculture platform will retain connectivity with Precision Planting's 20/20 SeedSense monitor. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. Volm Opens New Facility in Washington Volm Companies, an industry leader in providing the highest-quality packaging and equipment solutions to the fresh produce industry, has opened its new 90,000-square- foot distribution facility in Pasco, Wash. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house were held July 25 at the property site. Offi ciating at the ceremony with Mueller were Volm's chairman of the board Alan Mueller and Pasco mayor Matt Watkins, who welcomed Volm to the business community. The open house event was attended by Volm stakeholders and management, customers, city offi cials, building and project contractors, staff visiting from other Volm locations and other guests who played a role in the project. The new facility houses warehouse space for inventory, LENO manufacturing equipment, equipment and parts area as well as increased offi ce space for the growing business. Vive Enters Partnership with SDTC Vive Crop Protection announces a new partnership with four biopesticide manufacturers to develop new and improved biopesticides, supported by Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC). Vive has recently demonstrated that its Allosperse Delivery System enhances the viability and performance of biopesticides. Over the next three years, Vive will work with the partner manufacturers to develop new and improved versions of their products. This work will be supported by SDTC. Rhodes Joins IPC Produce industry veteran Dave Rhodes has joined the Idaho Potato Commission as the commission's retail promotion director for the Northeast. He will be based in Indianapolis. He replaces Ken Tubman, who is retiring after 15 years of service. Rhodes will work with retail produce managers in the northeastern U.S. and Canada to help drive sales of Idaho potatoes through marketing and promotions, competitive research and point-of- sale materials. He will also represent the Idaho potato brand at retail industry trade shows.
