In this role, Doerschuck will coordinate product registrations, trademarks and renewals. She will also handle Brookside's tonnage reports, export documentation and accounts payable and receivable. She will also provide sales, customer service and administrative support. Doerschuck comes to Brookside Agra with more than 10 years of combined customer service and account management experience, with a focus on contract administration, global trade compliance and export regulatory compliance. Valent Launches Sustainable Solutions Business Unit Valent U.S.A. LLC announces the launch of its Sustainable Solutions Business Unit, a new division within the company that is completely dedicated to supporting the industry in the adoption and integration of sustainable production practices for crop protection, productivity, and yield enhancement products and technologies. Ron Maitoza, the newly appointed director for the Sustainable Solutions Business Unit, will lead a dedicated team of 10 sustainable solutions specialists from across the country. Together, they will work with established customers and key stakeholders within the industry to provide education and technical support to accelerate the adoption of integrated crop management solutions that include both traditional and bio-rational systems. AGCO Invests in Maryland Facility AGCO Corporation, a worldwide distributor and manufacturer of agricultural equipment, is investing $2 million in its Edgewood, Md., assembly and distribution facility for Massey Ferguson compact and utility tractors and equipment. More production and warehouse space, industry-leading assembly line equipment and conversion to paperless order tracking through assembly, quality control and shipping are just some of the improvements planned. Similar expansions are planned for the two other U.S.-based AGCO assembly and distribution facilities in Tacoma, Wash., and Houston. Germains Appoints New Sales Agronomist for Michigan Germains Seed Technology announces the appointment of Steve Poindexter as sales agronomist to the company's North American sugarbeet division in Fargo, N.D. Poindexter is a sugarbeet agronomist who served as a senior sugarbeet extension educator at Michigan State University for 20 years. In his role, Poindexter will focus on the Michigan sugarbeet market to support and provide expertise to Germains customers and their growers. He will assist with managing sugarbeet research trials throughout the Michigan growing area.
