Fatima pilgrimage year wraps up with 2,000,000 rosaries W e hope our dear readers took advan- tage of the fact that Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Lakewood was a pilgrimage site this past year, because the Holy Door was closed Oct. 29 during a Mass celebrated by Arch- bishop Samuel J. Aquila. It was a privilege for our archdiocese to honor the 100 th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima in such a special way, and Our Lady of Fatima did a fantastic job of keeping the festiv- ities alive all year. Perhaps their most impressive feat, however was managing to tally over 2,000,000 rosaries prayed by people all over the world in the span of a year. That's quite a way to wrap up a Holy Year, and it's safe to say Our Lady had something to do with it. PHOTO BY JASON WEINRICH
