SEMA Showcases the SCORE Baja 1000 Experience The final pre-event for the historic 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 has now occurred and as this is being written; we are on our way to the Baja peninsula. This year’s SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience and Qualifier Presented by BFGoodrich Tires, has just completed its fourth year as the primary off-road market segment feature at the world largest automotive aftermarket show, The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) Show. This global event takes place every November in Las Vegas, NV. This year, the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience had a maximum field of Trophy Trucks qualifying for their all-important starting position for the long awaited 50th Anniversary race for the SCORE Baja 1000. This is only appropriate as the SCORE Baja 1000 is where the entire off-road aftermarket and industry actually developed from! This year’s event had even more importance to the SEMA Show as the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience area also served as the gathering point for the LTAA (Light Truck Accessory Alliance) for their annual SEMA gathering of all the truck accessory manufactures, as they experienced the SCORE Mike’s Sky Ranch “Taste of Baja” pavilion. This feature area also had BFGoodrich Tires hosting the debut showing of the long awaited Dust 2 Glory sequel! In This Issue: We had the opportunity to talk with the new 16 year old SCORE Super Star, Broc Dickerson, and his unbeaten Class 10 SCORE World Desert Championship season! You will find out Broc’s success isn’t by accident and learn more about his additional accomplishments and his amazing racing family traditions. Shop Tours: We were able to get an inside look at two powerhouse companies that have been supporting SCORE International and the off-road motorsports world for many years. Get an inside look at SCORE Official Shock, King Off-Road Racing Shocks, and what President, Brett King, has to say about the King heritage, philosophy and future plans. We also sat down with Bruce Higginson, RACELINE Wheel CEO /President, and learned more about their already strong motorsports background and their plans to beat the toughest environment on earth, the Baja Peninsula, through the SCORE World Desert Championship series. Enjoy the issue. Jim
